We are happy to provide you with information that will help you in making a sound decision in purchasing a "Willys Reproduction". We hope to show you the reason why our cars are superior to others in design and manufacturing and how we have used many years of experience building cars to improve in many ways, the original Willys design. These cars have generated a great deal of interest amongst street rodders and we are repeatedly approached with inquiries by other rodders about building Willys street rods. Unfortunately, Willys cars were never produced in the large volumes that Ford and GM cars were made in the 30's and 40's. Many were abused as gassers in drag racing. As a result, the remaining steel cars available for use as street rods are very limited and in generally poor condition. The time and expense involved in building one is extensive. Also, Willys had many design flaws such as poor fitting panels, and body parts and inadequate suspension and frames for Street Rod use. Understanding all of this, we realized with modern day technologies, in chassis construction and fiberglass manufacturing , our Rod Craft,Inc. "Reproduction Willys" , superior to original cars, could be available at a cost far below that of a steel car. In addition, construction and assembly would be easier and well within the skills of most street rodders in their home garage.
