On August 30th 2008 A total of 12 people will share in a most unique opportunity... A day in the field with Art WolfeWill you be among them? World-renowned wildlife, natural landscape and cultural photographer, widely acclaimed as one of the best photographers in these genres today, has graciously offered to donate his time & expenses to a fund raiser in support of the Global Insular Conservation Society.  If you have seen Travels to the Edge with Art Wolfe on PBS you'll have an excellent idea of what's in store for this very special day.  The Workshop A Full day at Mount Rainier National Park. Transportation (to and from a central Seattle location TBD) & lunch provided. Short hikes to some of Art's favorite scenic locations; meadows, lakes, overlooks etc. Art will walk you through his process, what he looks for in composing a shot, how to tell the story and capture the moment. Art will cover a range of situations; from taking in the grand scenic landscape to capturing intimate details on a macro level. Dinner in the shadow of Mt Rainier to wrap up the day.  A special gift from Art Wolfe to commemorate the day and thank you for your role in the success of this fund raiser supporting island ecosystems. Rewards Once you have looked at the world through the lens of Art Wolfe you may never look at it the same again.  You may begin to think of composition and overlooked details.  The play between light and shadows.
